Marni Wieshofer
Marni Wieshofer is a seasoned executive with over twenty years experience in the entertainment industry. Marni Wieshofer joined the team at Media Rights Capital as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Mergers & Acquisitions in 2007. At Media Rights Capital, Marni Wieshofer is responsible for indentifying and overseeing new ventures in entertainment as well as acquisitions.
Prior to working for Media Rights Capital, Marni Wieshofer was the Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at Lionsgate Studios. With Lionsgate, Marni Wieshofer managed the integration of Trimark Pictures, Artisan Entertainment, Redbus Films Distribution U.K., Debmar/Mercury, Break.com, and Mandate Pictures. Marni Wieshofer also handled the sale of Lionsgate Studios. Before becoming an executive, Marni Wieshofer was CFO of Lionsgate, a position in which she was recognized for the creation of a $200 million dollar credit facility though JP Morgan/Chase in September 2000.
Marni Wieshofer has also worked as Vice President of Finance at Alliance Atlantis Communications Corporation and Principal of Coopers & Lybrand Chartered Accountants. Marni Wieshofer became a Canadian Chartered Accountant in 1986. She earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario. Marni Wieshofer has taught business and accounting at the University of Toronto and York University.
